Play As One Fall Cosmetology (CTE Course - Career Technical Education)
Play As One is called to coach the heart of our youth, their families, and their community and to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through discipleship. Play As One will kick off the 2023 Fall School Year September 2nd and will run through November 3rd.
Psalm 139:13-14
13 For you formed my inward parts, you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Purpose
To teach youth from ages 11 - 18 to realize the beautiful creation they are by teaching simple cosmetology techniques and have conversations about who God created them to be.
Goal
To teach our students how to be more confident in who God created them to be.
Objectives
Cosmetology products and tool introduction
Common hairstyles for events like weddings, school dances , and formals
Hair care best practices
Styling techniques
Culminating Event
Community Outreach and Service Project
The course will be lead by licensed cosmetologist, Coby Farmer.
Play As One Spring Cosmetology - 2024
Play As One is called to coach the heart of the athlete, their families, and their community to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through discipleship. Play As One is excited to offer two levels of cosmetology instruction this season: Intro to Cosmetology (Tuesdays, 5-6:30PM) and Intermediate (Tuesdays, 6-7:30PM). The spring season will run from March 5th - May 7th. Sign up now to reserve your spot!
Intro to Cosmetology: 6th - 9th Grade, Tuesdays 5 - 6:30PM (Beginning Tuesday, March 5th)
Intermediate Cosmetology: 9th - 12th Grade, Tuesdays 6 - 7:30PM (Beginning Tuesday, March 5th)
The Spring PAO Parent Orientation & Uniform Hand Out will be Saturday, March 2nd at 10:00 AM at Emmanuel Faith Community Church.
Practices will be held at Emmanuel Faith Community Church (Subject to Change)
