Coach Goodman - What are you Pursuing? Opportunities for others to EXPERIENCE God’s Love and Watching God do Amazing things!

Like many coaches, Coach Goodman pursued winning games based on results of the scoreboard. And by that standard he won 5 Championships and competed in 7 Championship games in 8 years. But 5 championships could not fulfill his deepest purpose.

After the loss of his parents and marriage difficulties, hear Coach Goodman share his faith journey which all started with 4 questions.

1. Why do you coach?

2. Why do you coach the way that you do?

3. How does it feel to be coached by you?

4. How are you going to define success?

As Coach began his journey answering these questions it lead him to write his TPS or Transformational Purpose Statement.

“I coach to provide opportunities for my athletes to work hard, to live pure, to lead with courage, and to love one another so that each athlete knows that they have eternal value!” - Coach Goodman

When asked why do you pursue Jesus? Coach’s response was simple. ”I pursue Jesus because I love him and want to know him intimately! Knowing him deeper has been a great adventure and my time with the savior has healed deep wounds and provided opportunities to share God's love with others. There has been no greater joy than watching Jesus transform my life, the lives of my family, the lives of my athletes and my community. I’m eternally grateful for Jesus’ prayer for us “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one!”

John 17:20-23
“I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 xThe glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.
